Plymouth, MI (December 9, 2022) – EOTECH is proud to announce the EFLX Mini Reflex Sight has won a Ballistic’s Best Award, for Best Pistol Red Dot for 2022. Ballistic Magazine, an Athlon Outdoors publication, is a leading resource in the firearms industry and a must-read for news and information related to firearms, optics, and related accessories.
“The EFLX is EOTECH’s first dip into the reflex pistol sight pool, and we are really proud to see the dealer and consumer acceptance and support.” Said Mark Miller, Director of Product Management. “We intentionally carried over key attributes of our Holographic Weapon Sight like the window aspect ratio, button design, and window clarity, to overcome some of the limitations other pistol optics suffer. This, along with our rigorous testing, produced what we feel is the best pistol optic solution out there."
The EFLX provides a heavy-duty aluminum housing that includes a top loading CR2032 battery to provide over 20,000 hours of runtime. Models are offered in either 3MOA or 6MOA aiming dots and incorporate the Deltapoint Pro mounting footprint.
The EFLX Mini Reflex Sight features eight daytime brightness settings, including an ultra-bright mode and night vision setting. Using ergonomic push-button controls, users can easily switch between brightness levels. Further, the Mini Reflex Sight includes two programmable - August 01, 2022
Plymouth, MI (August 1, 2022) – EOTECH is pleased to announce the Des Moines Police Department has adopted the BinoNV night-vision goggle for use in SWAT and special operations. DMPD is the largest and most urban law enforcement agency in the state of Iowa with over 370 sworn officers.
In January of 2022, EOTECH launched a full line of customized, military-grade night vision devices and thermal imagers for distribution and service to US and select international markets.
“We are extremely honored that the Des Moines Police Department selected the BinoNV as their dedicated night-vision goggle solution,” said John Parra, Law Enforcement Manager for EOTECH. “This selection, along with other agencies across the country, validates the incredible quality, ruggedness and performance our new line of night-vision and thermal products provides.”
The EOTECH BinoNV is a cutting-edge, compact, lightweight night-vision goggle built to full MIL-SPEC standards. Binocular systems offer better depth perception than single tube systems making them preferred for navigating on foot or by vehicle and interacting with the environment. - June 17, 2022
Plymouth, MI (June 2022) – EOTECH, inventor and original manufacturer of Holographic technology for use on military, LE, hunting, and consumer firearms, has been awarded a follow up SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) contract for the development of a dual-color holographic head-up display for increased situational awareness and targeting in military aircraft.
This Phase II contract funds further development to produce a system that allows more information to be acquired faster without obscuring the pilot field of view, which leads to efficient decisions and reduced cognitive load on the end-user. Commercially, the developed technology may adapt to existing firearm weapon sights, and could provide customers with new functionality, such as overlaying waypoints or caliber data onto their field of view.
“We are extremely proud to have received this Phase II contract and are excited to continue developing this technology into a solution that enhances the performance of our pilots,” said Dennis Finnegan, President of EOTECH GOV. “EOTECH has been at the forefront of holography, dating back to the 1950’s, and has dedicated its existence to providing tools and technology that improve the performance and increase the safety of our warfighters.”
The SBIR program is intended to support scientific excellence and technological innovation that is moving from the lab to the market. Investing federal

Plymouth, MI (January 4, 2022) – In an exciting strategic move, EOTECH, the Michigan-based manufacturer of the world’s best holographic and magnified optics, has acquired Intevac Inc’s Photonics business (Photonics), a California-based technology leader in cutting edge digital sensor systems.
The organization boasts powerful technology-development capabilities and has a long history of successfully delivering winning solutions for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, the F- 35 Joint Strike Fighter, and the US Army IVAS (Integrated Visual Augmentation System) programs, to name a few.
The combination of EOTECH and Photonics as a single entity opens unique business opportunities, and the integration of the two businesses will result in significant growth in the years to come. “The idea of acquiring Photonics made great strategic sense from Day One.” said Christopher Kouza, Chairman and Founder of Kouza Capital, Inc., the sponsor of the deal. “Combining the Photonics advanced digital sensor capabilities with EOTECH’s world-class marketing and global distribution reach will be a powerful engine for the future.”
Both companies share market leadership positions in their respective sectors, and plan to combine their energies toward the development of all-new product lines and markets. “Naturally we’re looking forward to combining our teams to strengthen our service to the US military as well as our service to the governments of allied nations. Ann Arbor, MI (December, 19 2021) – The new EOTECH Vudu 1-10x28mm riflescope delivers outstanding performance and durability in all environments while offering First Focal Plane advantages and 1-10x power versatility. First Focal Plane (FFP) scopes provide many benefits, and the Vudu 1-10x28 FFP reticles make full use of this advanced design. The Vudu’s wide magnification range and rapid zooming balance shooting speed with precision. When combined with a choice of three modern reticles, the Vudu 1-10x28mm precision riflescope is a clear choice for close- to medium-range targets and everything in between.
The dramatic 1-10x magnification range truly sets this optic apart! At 1x, its wide field of view, generous eye relief and signature EOTECH Speed Ring is the ultimate setup for enhanced situational awareness and rapid shot transitions. At the other end of the spectrum, its 10x magnification and detailed reticle allow precise holdover shots at extended ranges.
With First Focal Plane scopes, the reticle grows as magnification increases. At high power, the reticle is an optical tape measure for estimating distance and precisely aiming holdover shots; at low magnification, the eye focuses on the bold, illuminated EOTECH Speed Ring for snapshots and quick follow-ups. Designed to be simple and intuitive, shooters will understand the versatility of this system with one look through the 1-10x28mm scope.

Ann Arbor, MI. (October 18, 2021) – EOTECH Vudu created the MD4 reticle as an option for shooters familiar with the common MOA angular measurement system. The EOTECH Vudu 5-25x50 pairs a MIL-Dot-style reticle pattern with a first focal plane scope. This offers several advantages, including target ranging and accurate hold-overs at any magnification setting. The MD4 reticle is the latest reticle option in the compact yet powerful Vudu 5-25x50 FFP riflescope family. Now, shooters accustomed to minute-of-angle reticles and turrets can easily transition to this versatile medium- to long-range setup.
The MD4’s reticle provides a clear target view with MOA subtensions needed for precise elevation and windage holdovers. Both the vertical and horizontal crosshairs include primary hash marks every 1 MOA. Like all Vudu rifle scopes, the 5-25x50 reticles are etched, providing crisp hash marks for daylight shooting. The scope excels in low-light conditions and features ten brightness levels and a push-button illumination system. The 2-hour auto-shutoff protects batteries from draining. Thanks to its ultra-short design, there’s ample room for night vision or thermal devices in front of the rifle scope. The MD4, like other MIL-dot style reticles, works like a measuring tape to calculate estimated distance to a target and can be done at any magnification position. Using ballistic drop data, compensating for bullet drop is quick and intuitive with the MD4 reticle.
