"The new design of the contacts in the bottom of the compartment is superior to the original, and its price is so low that I'd rather replace the entire part than cleaning and repairing the original. I have 2 sights using this compartment, so I bought an extra (and am trying to be better about taking out the batteries when storing the weapons to which they are attached. )"
