Nice sight but you need a EXPS2 in TAN Steven  |  March 29, 2015
First off let me start by saying that I own a EXPS3-0 in TAN and this EXPS2-0 in Black. Same sights other than the NV mode on the TAN unit. You guys really need to start offering the EXPS2-0 in TAN! I know you guys know that TAN and FDE builds are HUGE! I could not justify paying for a second EXPS3-0TAN as I don't own NV gear and have no reason to own any in the foreseeable future. Why no TAN love for this model?

Amazing optic. Once zeroed it won't lose it despite using a QD mount system, getting beat up, or firing thousands of rounds. Also, the reticule of the EoTech is basically unmatched in having a large circle for quick acquisition with 1MOA dot(s) in the middle for precision shots beyond what a 2MOA dot or larger can give you. The only element of this optic I sometimes debate is whether 1 or 2 dots makes sense. I opted for the 2 dot option though in hindsight the simple 1 dot version is the most practical for most shooters who more than likely won't be taking shots past 300 yards. Two thumbs way up!

Cannot agree with one reviewer. I have been using EOTech sights (512, EXPS2, XPS with Magnifiers) for a long time now. Pretty much got rid of 50mm Leupolds and went to EOTechs. Both eyes open make tracking and hitting moving targets way, way easier than with conventional scopes. Fast acquisition and no need to shoulder, look, re-shoulder, look again to find and track game. There is no doubt in my mind that I would have not been able to take some game by tracking with conventional scopes. I am a hunter rather than a paper shooter and I have several AR set-ups for Predators, Hogs, Deer and bigger stuff. Typically I forget to flip up the magnifiers and will not hesitate taking a coyote out to 200 yards with just the basic sight. That's how confident I am with them. The only drawback with these sights that I can tell is that it takes time and patience when sighting-in. What I have found is that I will mount a scope to sight in to check bullet performance out to 100 and 200 yards. Once the groups are tight and I have a good load, I will then remove the scope and mount the EOTech and then re-sight in. If the rounds group well you can forget about bullet performance and then concentrate on the new sights. Never had a single problem with any EOTech sight (knock on wood). Practice with eyes open and you'll never look back. Carry extra batteries and a penny too.

If your normal weapon use is inside 60 yards then this is a suitable red dot sight but one of the most expensive options for a red dot. Anything past 60 yards your going to need a magnifier. Add that and your at $1000. Much better/less expensive options exist for a one piece magnified red dot scope. Using both buttons to shut off this device is very hard to do. Better to just unscrew the battery cap. You do need to apply some non-petro grease to the battery cap threads so you don't damage them. Storage of the device is best accomplished by removing the battery or at least unscrewing the cap to break contact.

Very impressed, simple to zero and the quality of the optic is easily noticed. I'd recommend one to a friend.

Took me forever to decide between a Trijicon ACOG or the EXPS2-0 with G33 magnifier. And man was I glad to get the EOTECH EXPS2-0 with the magnifier. Reticle is so crisp and clear. Zeroed once and haven't touched it since. It is THE perfect sight.

I have over 10,000 rounds through my rifle (semi auto and auto) with my EXPS2 mounted on it and I have never had to readjust my zero. I do not abuse my equipment but I do use it and it is still going strong.
